A note from Barbara Allan
Dear Reader:
This is the book I wished had been available when I got sick.
In 1986, I developed reactive arthritis, a condition similar to rheumatoid arthritis. For 5 years the joints in my body were so painful that I could not walk more than a few feet or stand for more than a few minutes at a time. I often couldn’t even do such simple, everyday things as turn door knobs due to arthritis pain in my hands. My doctors tried everything they knew, but they could not help me.
My response was to spend years in a painstaking investigation of alternative health techniques, focusing especially on those that promised to help rheumatoid arthritis or chronic pain. I found remedies that completely cured my arthritis. I can now easily ride my bicycle, take long walk and stand for extended periods of time. I have no residual joint pain. My goal now is to show others what I did and how it can help them conquer their own arthritis.
This book can help if you…
have an autoimmune disease
Autoimmune arthritis may be caused by rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, reactive arthritis, Reiter’s syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, ankylosing spondalytis, psoriatic arthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia. Doctors are just starting to recognize that a sizable number of these cases are caused by food-related problems.
food allergies, sensitivities or intolerance.
More than 70 medical conditions have been linked to food-related problems. By identifying and treating or eliminating food allergies, food sensitivities and food intolerances, many seemingly hopeless chronic health problems can be improved or eliminated.
Provide physical and emotional support to someone with arthritis
Since these conditions can make a person too sick and tired to do a good job of finding out about options for healing, such caregivers often make all the difference in whether someone gets well or remains sick. Armed with the knowledge in this book, caregivers can help loved ones learn about how to get well, and help them implement these proven strategies.
work with people with autoimmune arthritis and food-related problems.
Much unnecessary suffering still goes on because the knowledge in this book has not yet fully reached all levels and branches of the healing professions. This book can serve as “continuing education” on the latest and most effective complementary therapies that are now available. Because it is written in lay language, it may also serve as a valuable resource for their clients. References to the scientific literature are also included.
Well-researched, easy to follow
Based on the experience of people with dramatic and lasting recoveries from arthritis with cited scientific studies explained in accessible terms.
A new and effective plan
One that cures by correcting the underlying problems, not just covers up symptoms or relies on drugs that perpetuate the problem.
