For the past 2 weeks I've eaten meals that contain ground beef. I've also had flare ups during those times. I'm 11 weeks pregnant, and the only thing I'm taking is Prednisone. It's not helping this time like it normally does. I couldn't even work today b/c my hands are so swollen.

Anyone out there who reacts to any type of red meat?

I have a friend with RA who reacts to beef quite badly as well.

I have heard of people who react to ground beef alone, and others who react to the whole cow - cow's milk, ground beef, and roast beef and others who are in between and only react to either the ground beef or the milk.

Not everyone reacts to beef, but it isn't uncommon for beef to trigger delayed food sensitivities, the type of immune system reaction behind chronic inflammation, such as in arthritis.
