Hi my name is steph I was diagnosed in feb 2014 with RA.
I decided that if I cud make my body 100% healthy in every other way then it cud only be a good thing. Right from the start I wholeheartedly believed if I could get sick I could better. I immediately began researching and addressing my life. This is what I did
1. Fasted for a couple days
2. Elimination diet
3. Introduced probiotucs
4. Recognised I had candida and keaky gut
5. Followed the amazing Dr Jeff Mccombs candida plan- so much love for this guy and his program. Worth every penny n worked within couple of weeks began to feel amazing within 6 month was clear of candida.
Also took supplements and food to heal leKy gut
6. Practiced reiki daily
By Christmas 2014 I was in remission and never needed to go on any meds as I persuaded my consultant to let me try natural for a while, which she did and it worked.
However! Early 2015 I had a lot of stress. I also abruptly stopped taking high dose vutamin C and caught a chest infection. My RA returned within days of stopping taking the vit C I think this n stress were the main factors but then the chest infection, antibiotics took things to a whole new level. I won't go into detail as I could write a book but basically all joints above my waist didn't work. I was unable to do anything and I mean anything - coukdnt even press buttons on TV remote control, get into bed, take lid off a pen, dress, shower, the list goes on. On the positive side although I had some slight swelling in lower body it was only on occasion in knee or ankle or hip.
This flare lasted for months and really took me to the edge. I was once so full of fight but I will admit I was totally destroyed by RA for a while, both emotionally, mentally and physically.
I tried everything I did last year but with no results. So, I started taking methotrexate, steroid injections x2 took Nac which is brill for stiffness and moducare which helps inflammation and even on Low Dose Naltrexone!
As I began to feel better I continued my quest- still determined to be disease free, pain free, drug free.
Along the way I have made several leaps- discovered the reason Ive suffered with constipation for 43 yrs is because I struggle to digest protein. I eat lots of greens and take an enzyme which works a treat.
I have treated my son for candida which has much improved his life and thus removed a big stress from mine.
I really feel/hope I'm on the final hurdle now. I am qualified in many complimentary therapies such as EFT and so have experience with many tools that will help me.
My next three steps are;
to get the ALCAT test and rotate food. I feel I have sensitivities as I seem to flare when I eat processed food. Over the last month I have also had mild stomach pain after eating- perhaps the naproxen caused damage although I always took Lansaprazole at the same time to protect my gut.
To continue meditating using holysync 15 minute demo recording- it uses frequencies to easily and quickly get you into a deep meditation. This with reiki seems to be helping but I'm interested i the meditation work Barbara has done and defiantly think I need to heal mentally, emotionally and spiritually as well as physically.
To get off the methotrexate and Liw Dose Naltrexone. I have reduced naproxen down to 250 mg once a day and no longer have steroid injections,
Well I can't wait to get started- I've already looked at food families and have tried to follow a 4 day rotation to get me into the swing of things ready for post Alcat test. Funny as within a few days of not eating same foods every day my wet nose immediately stopped being wet n drippy after food- think I read that's a sign of sensitivities
I'm really looking forward to sharing ideas with everyone on this fab forum to. I am truely thankful that we are all disease free!! Love and light to all , steph
