Alcat test came back...I have no issues with wheat dairy or candida...I was very clean with my diet for 6 weeks prior to the test so I wonder if that helped lessen my sensitivities...I am chatting with barbara next week to finalize a rotation diet..Its not going to be so tough since I've been eating whole simple foods for 6 weeks anyway and I have plenty of foods to eat that I'm not sensitive to...

My arthritis is continuing to improve...I've continued with my yoga in the sauna and I played intense squash today with some pain but the pain and stiffness is eroding..I chalk that up to the humira unfortunately--I had my first injection 8 days ago so it's been quite effective so far... I am not limping at all and even forget tht I have ra at times... It's easy to get complacent with the humira but I am going to follow the alcat diet and work my way off the meds and into remission...

Glad to hear your doing well. Be aware that the injections may be masking any dietry symptons and give a false feeling of wellness.

Yoga is excellent for arthritis, although I would take it a bit easier and avoid hard sports just for now.

I suspect pizza may be a bad food choice on any level, but I always think that if I've eaten anything suspect as a bit of an experiment and the pain serves to remind me of what I am doing.

My brother with the PA has a lot of trouble with bread, pizza and pasta, all the foods he loves!

I'll have to get an ALCAT once I work out how to do it from the UK, let us know the results

I had my first consult with Barbara to review my ALCAT results and plan a diet. Ironically the diet is more liberal than I was consuming with regards to the variety of foods I can eat. The   catch is to stick to a 4 day rotation. I am going to stick to the rotation diet with non allergic foods 100% and have no mistakes. I have plenty of good foods to work with so there's no reason to cheat.

Will keep updating..

It's now 13 days after my first humira injection and 2 days into my rotation diet. I played squash today and for the first 25 mins I felt almost 100%. Thereafter my ankles started burning so I stopped but I am pleased with my progress. Of course much of this is due to the humira but I take the humira every 14 days so I was surprised to feel so good 13 days after my injection when logic says the med should be tapering. Working hard on the rotation diet which is actually not hard at all. Today I ate turkey grapes pears cashews peanuts potatoes...tmrw is veal Swiss chard cauliflower pineapple spelt crackers and apples...after watching terry wahl's video I am going to increase vegetable juices on this diet....I really believe I am going to put my psa in remission..diet discipline and faith are the keys...

Will keep updating...

Day 4 of my rotation diet... Going just fine...had chicken raspberries blueberries cauliflower squash butter dates bananas yogurt...I then noticed the butter my wife used had natural flavorings..big no no..that should set me back about 7 days..from now on I'll read every label twice just to make sure!!

Took my 2nd injection of humira yesterday and funnily I feel slight tightness and joint pressure today but that could be from 2 days in a row of squash... I think I'll stick to the bikram yoga for now...

Tmrw is homemade pizza day!!

Day 6 of the rotation diet..all swelling has almost gone...mind you I am now 3 weeks on humira so it could be the reason...pain free when walking but if I play a hard sport like squash my ankles burn...

I discovered some of the oils I was using were packaged in a factory where they use other items that I am allergic to so I am discontinuing those oils and using items that are strictly clean and within my food list..all my meals are made at home which is more time consuming but this is a small price to pay if I get healed..

Tonight I had lamb with apple chutney, kale and guacamole with roasted potatoes... I used walnut oil to cook with...spelt cookies for dessert..it was an awesome meal...

Dear chlo888

What did the ALCAT test say you were allergic too?

Here's the list of foods I am allergic to.. some more than others but I am staying away from all of these for 3-6 months...you can see why eating out is not possible since there could be a trace of anyone of these foods in something and Barbara has instructed that 100% compliance with the diet is absolutely necessary for 100% healing..this even means brushing with baking soda for while as I am allergic to mint..lucky I have no milk, candida or wheat issues or my diet would be even more restrictive..

Was wondering if anyone can suggest their experience with regards to my current symptoms? My swelling is almost gone from my feet and ankles. Pain is gone when walking though every once in awhile I feel a sharp stabbing pain. The only other times time I feel pain is when I wake up but it is relieved after the first 10 minutes of being up and around. Playing a sport that requires pivoting will bring on the pain after the first 30 minutes or so. That pain is a burning sensation.

This is in comparison to my condition 4 weeks ago when I walked with a limp. Morning stiffness was very difficult to work off. Absolutely no sports.

So my condition is better but my questions are:

Is my story routine of how arthritis slowly fades from the body? If anyone is reading that was 100% healed--does my story sound familiar?

Should I push it with the hard sports activity or does that just inflame the joints? (I can opt for yoga which of course is easier on the joints but less enjoyable than sports).

Thanks.

Thanks for posting, your list off allergies is quite extensive, to say the least! its all very interesting, and I hope its all working. I like your rotation diet, let us know how you get on with it.
I wish I could help with your recovery symptoms, but I'm not there yet. Give it time and these things will fade away I'm sure.

All the best.

Day 8 of the diet. My arthritis is slowly fading. I played squash yesterday and didn't get any burning and was just a little sore afterwards but not much. I can still feel twinges in my ankles and some stabs but it is lessening. On another note, there is a mental clarity that has emerged. It feels like I am lighter and less foggy brain wise. I am sure this is due to not being weighed down with allergic foods.

Day 11 of the ALCAT diet. Arthritis is continuing to fade. Now I have some stiffness remaining but even my usual morning pain is starting to subside. A huge development is that mentally my brain is so much clearer. I don't have a sense of fatigue and lethargy. Very pleased so far but still working towards 100% symptom free of the arthritis.

will check back in..
