Hi.  New here.  I've not been formally diagnosed with RA but that is what is looks like.  I am working with acupuncture and an elimination diet.  I've been off wheat, barley, rye for nearly two months--no change.  I have noticed a change with citrus however, after a six-week elimination and reintroduction: a flare.  I had been eating lots of citrus before my first, true, whopping big flare-up.  I am trying simple eliminations one or two at a time since that seems easier at this point.  So much info, so confused!

Dear Piloma,

Welcome to my forum.  What would help you overcome the information overload?

For me, when I am learning something new, it  helps to first get an overview (like looking just throuigh the table of contents of my book for a while) so that I have an idea about the larger picture.

Then I pick what seems like a logical place to start (you wisely started with identifying the foods that are your inflamatory triggers).  If you are finding that process confusing, you might want to consider the ALCAT test (http://www.ConqueringArthritis.com/alcat )  It can quickly identify the most common triggers for you, sometimes saving months or years of effort.
